WhatChimp Messaging API — Quick Reference
Overview of all messaging endpoints — send messages, get conversations, track delivery, and list bot postbacks.

The WhatChimp Messaging API lets you send WhatsApp messages, retrieve conversation history, and track message delivery — all programmatically. This is a quick reference to all messaging endpoints.
Before you begin: Make sure you have your API key and phone number ID. See Getting Started with WhatChimp Developer API for setup instructions.

Send Messages
There are two types of messages you can send via the API:
Text messages — Free-form text, but only within the 24-hour session window (after the customer last messaged you). → Send 24-Hour Text Messages via WhatChimp API
Template messages — Pre-approved messages that can be sent anytime, with support for variables, media headers, and interactive buttons. → Send Template Messages via WhatChimp API → Send with Variables → Send with Custom Variables → Send with Quick Reply Buttons

Retrieve Data
Get Conversation History — Pull the full message thread with a subscriber, including who sent each message and when. → Get Conversation History via WhatChimp API
Get Bot Postback List — Retrieve all bot flow triggers. Required when binding Quick Reply buttons to bot flows via the API. → Get Bot Postback List via WhatChimp API
Get Message Delivery Status — Check if a message was sent, delivered, read, or failed. → Get Message Delivery Status via WhatChimp API
