Integrating your Shopify store with WhatChimp allows you to automate customer interactions via WhatsApp. This includes abandoned cart recovery, order notifications, and cash-on-delivery verification—helping you improve customer engagement and boost sales.

Steps to Integrate Shopify with WhatChimp

Access Integration Settings

  • Log in to your WhatChimp account.
  • Click on Integration in the left sidebar.
  • Select E-commerce, then click the New button.
  • Choose Shopify and enter the following details:
  • Profile Name – Your store name or any identifier.
  • Store Sub-Domain – Your Shopify store's subdomain.
  • Admin Access Token – Required for authentication (see below for steps to generate it).

How to Get the Shopify Admin Access Token

Log in to your Shopify Admin Panel.

Navigate to Settings → Apps and Sales Channels → Develop Apps.

Click Create an App, enter a name, and confirm by clicking Create App.

Go to Configure Admin API Scopes and grant read and write permissions for:

  • Order Editing
  • Orders
  • Click Save.

Under API Credentials, click Install App, then Install.

Click Reveal Token Once and copy your Admin Access Token.

Finalizing the Integration

Paste the Admin Access Token into the corresponding field in WhatChimp.

Click Save to complete the integration.

Now, your Shopify store is successfully connected to WhatChimp, allowing you to use it in webhook workflows and other automation tasks. 🎉
